We are looking for a Back-End Web Developer responsible for developing the backend/server side of our new web applications. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of the server-side architecture.
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Design and implementation of database/data storage solutions
- Ensuring the code is designed and built for speed and scalability
- Design and construction of our REST API
- Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API
- Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Technical documentation
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure delivery of the project within time.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Proficient knowledge of back-end programming languages like PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience with a relevant and globally supported framework—both front-end and back-end (React, Vue, Laravel, Angular, Node.js)
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Management of the hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
- Data migration, transformation, and scripting
- Outputting data in different formats
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles.
- Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment.

Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned full-stack developer to lead our team in building out and managing our web project. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years of recent experience with all of the skills listed below.
Our project entails implementing UI, constructing our API, connecting the two, and setting up our server infrastructure. This includes all associated areas such as database and architecture design.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of the overall web architecture (client-side, server-side)
- Design & implementation of the user interface.
- Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
- Design and deployment of our database
- Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability
- Design and construction of our REST API
- Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API
- Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment
- Documentation for all stages of the project: blueprint, functional specifications, technical specs, etc.
- Lead the team of junior web developers through the project. Assign them tasks and make progress.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- Plan project activities and schedule tasks.
- Ensure delivery of the project within time.
Skills
- At least three years experience as a full-stack developer with:
- Writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Being up on the latest practices is a must, e.g., HTML5, CSS3, and ECMAScript 6
- A relevant back-end programming language (PHP, .NET, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript)
- Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions
- Server management and deployment for the relevant environment
- Experience with the relevant and globally supported frameworks—both front-end and back-end (React, Vue, Laravel, Angular, Node.js)
- Ideally, familiarity with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries {{ e.g., Sass, Less, and webpack }}
- Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy
- Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficiency with Git & Jira
- Appreciation for clean and well-documented code
